After School Snack

Mitchell came home from school today and made himself a peanut butter and jam sandwich. However, he did not put away the peanut butter or jam. I came down stairs to find that Shelby had helped her self to a jar of jam for a snack. I think it was about 3/4 full!

Last weekend

This picture is for Aunt Beverly. William got to pick his own tie on Sunday from Dad's closet and of all his ties he picked the one you made.
Wesley wanted to show everyone his latest lego creation.

Shelby helped decorate the tree wearing her tutu and her pink cowboy boots.

The Last Week in Pictures

Okay, I am going to share in reverse order this last week. I am only sharing things I have pictures to go with. So we will start with today! William decided to dig a really deep hole, I didn’t see the harm in this until…….

Poor Taxi couldn’t get out. A little while later Wesley comes in and tells me that Shelby has put my stuff in the hole. So I send Mitchell and William out to get it. No big deal, it was a zip lock bag my mom had sent that had hair things and such for me in it. Then I hear the call from outside. “Mom, Shelby has your make up all over her face.” I go over to the bag and realize my mom also sent me a mascara and it is no longer in the bag. She was dumping the evidence when she threw the bag in the hole!!!!

This is a couple of pictures of Shelby in her hospital room. This is probably 3 hours or so after the accident. Her personality was coming back and she really liked the cool bracelet they gave her.

Here is a picture of Wesley and Laura Solis from Pack meeting. The video is of William’s skit.

Update on Mitchell's arm

Well Mitchell got his cast off today but the arm is not fully healed. The doctor decided not to recast or to brace it. However, Mitchell is in some pain and he can't do sports for another 4 weeks. The doctor did clear him for running and swimming only. We will see how it goes.

Balloon Fiesta not just about balloons anymore

We went to the Balloon Fiesta this weekend and had a great time. First we watch the Darth Vader Balloon fill with air and take off. I did get a picture of the kids with Darth, but it was on my phone and I can’t figure out how to get it off. I did text it to facebook, so you can see there. We loved the bees!!

After watching the balloons we headed over to the booths were we went virtual kayaking in Texas, then we went and played in the Beatles Rock Band with playstation, and after that we took a quick trip to NASA where we got to get in a cockpit of a jet fighter, see our face with infrared, and pretend to be astronauts. We all had a great time! Next year you all should come with us J

Update

I thought I would do an update, so as the soon as we got home from church I thought we could take a quick picture to go with the update. Well we took pictures for a long time and never got the picture I wanted. We got a lot of Shelby walking out of the picture or knocking down her brothers, however that was not what I wanted.

Friday, Mitchell was in a cycling accident while riding with his triathlon team. He broke his left wrist. It is in a splint now and it will probably be casted when we go the orthopedic on Monday or Tuesday.

Today was the primary program, and it went very well. All the kids sounded great!! A lady in our ward did a special arrangement of “Love at Home” and it was absolutely beautiful!! William and another boy played the prelude music. Each child had a part, Mitchell and William wrote there own they had a question to answer. Wesley just had to recite one sentence. When he was done he said he had something else to say and I (I was next to the children helping the ones that needed help with their lines) yanked him away from the microphone.

BTW- Mitchell would like to see some comments :-)

State Fair

I took the kids (Shelby, Wesley, and William) to the State Fair today we all had a a good time. Mitchell went with his school last Friday. I forgot my camera so I took these pictures on my phone. When I got home I realized all the pictures I took with my zoom on are very small and grainy. So I only have the pictures where I didn't have the zoom on.
This is an air blower and you try to move it without the ball falling down. Shelby just wanted to catch the ball.

The Balloon Explorium was there and the kids got to get in the gondola. Wesley was afraid to get in, he didn't want to go high in the air. Once I pointed out there was no balloon attached he felt much better.

The boys had a great time making Huge Bubbles!!!!!!!

We ate, of course, and the kids had to have Corndogs!

We went to McDonald's farm and collected plastic fruit, vegetables, and eggs. Shelby tried to eat her apple and when she couldn't she went back to the apple area looking for a REAL apple. She had a great time collecting everything until the end when they made her give it all back. She threw herself on the ground in a fit. However, when she saw that you got a Popsicle as you left everything was better.

This is Shelby and Wesley at McDonald's farm riding the horses.

This is Wesley and Emily Solis petting a real goat.
We did some other interesting stuff that the pictures didn't turn out. The boys practiced batting and William hit one that went out of their field. Wesley performed as a tiger in the Backyard Circus. We saw a thrill show where people did things like ride motorcycles on tight ropes. We listened to Native American flute playing. We visited many booths and got our pictures taken several times. We will post those later when they get put online. I was given a t-shirt by Geico that says "The Person Wearing this shirt is an actual GEICO customer. Not a paid celebrity. Real Service, Real Savings GEICO.

Botanical Gardens

We went to the Botanical Gardens today. Had a nice morning with just the family. This evening we will head off to Brian's, Greg's brother, for a BBQ.
