William had a Swim Party
Wesley
William had a swim a party for his Birthday. We all had a really good time. Wesley has hated the water and he did not want to get in the water when we got there. However, by the time we had been their about an hour, he was playing in water up to his chest. Shelby also loved the water. Their teacher from school was there and she took pictures for me with the camera, because I was to busy watching children.

Mitchell's Essay on Bobby Fischer
Chess is Life: The Story of Bobby Fischer
By Mitchell Acton
By Mitchell Acton

Bobby Fischer is a Chess Hero, to all the Americans that play Chess. He inspired a generation to learn the game of Chess. Although, most of these people played Chess for recreation, to Bobby Fischer, “Chess is Life.”
Bobby Fischer was a incredible chess player, born in Chicago March 19, 1949,in Chicago, Illinois, at Michael Reese hospital. His father, from Germany, got divorced from his mother when he was just 2 years old. His first encounter with chess was when he got a present from a relative. Bobby, 6 years old, and his 11 year old sister learned the moves from the instructions. He immediately became so fascinated and absorbed by Chess that he worried his mother. Bobby’s mother said, “Bobby isn’t interested in anybody unless they play Chess and there just aren’t many children who like it.”
Bobby was so interested in Chess that is mother put up posters to see if people would play him. When he was 7 he challenged Master Max, and lost in 15 minutes. A few weeks after defeat, Bobby Fischer joined the Brooklyn Chess Club and it met on Friday evenings, just like us!
When Bobby was 14 years old he decided to take a big step and battle Max Euwe in New York. He fought him twice losing one and drawing one. That year he went on to win the U.S Junior Championship, U.S. Jr Speed Championship, and he tied for 1st at the US Open. At 14 years and 5 months, his rating was 2231 and he was the youngest person to ever get a master’s rating.
He continued to win many Chess tournaments and at age 16 decided to drop out of school, so he could become a professional Chess player. On September 1, 1972 Bobby Fischer won the World Chess Championship becoming the youngest Grandmaster, rating 2785. He defeated Boris Spassky after winning 7 games, drawing 11 games, and losing 3 games, one he forfeited because of the cameras. Then he disappeared from Chess for about 20 years. When he came back out he challenged Spassky to a rematch and won.
But Sadly, every life has and end, and Bobby Fischer’s life ended not to long ago. He died in Iceland, January 17, 2008 of kidney failure and probably partly old age. He has been remembered as the 1st American to win the World Chess Championship, and that is how he will always be remembered.

Williamisms
Williamisms are stories about things that William says. Greg has started trying to post them to his family' blog. He has written two of them so I thought I would post both of those on this blog today.

Williamism II
Last Sunday night we attended a meeting for all the children getting baptized this year. William and I did a baptismal demonstration. The bishop talked and went around the room asking individual children questions on baptism. William kept squirming, raising his hands and calling "I know! I know!", but the Bishop was only calling on the kids sitting on their hands. He told William he would get his turn, but that never seemed to happen. The next speaker got up and talked about the Holy Ghost, and again William was anxiously stretching his hand up to every question. So the presenter decided to go around the room to each child, one at a time, so that they could each say something they know about the Holy Ghost. The first child said something like the Holy Ghost teaches you the truth. Next she turned to William, "William?," to which William responded, "I just forgot everything I know about the Holy Ghost." --Greg

Tonight the boys were sharing with us what the liked about church. William said that he likes primary and "the part where they pass around the food, I don't remember what it's called." We're so proud. --Greg

OH BROTHER
This morning while I was at church running off the bulletin and Greg was in the shower. Wesley decided to annoy his brothers by playing a kazoo. When he wouldn't stop William decided to slap it out of his mouth. However, he also hit Wesley's eye with his finger. We spent the morning checking out urget care and emergency rooms. The problem was that they all were jam packed, 2 1/2 hours or more wait and they all were packed with kids with RSV!!!!!!! We were scared if we stayed he would have a sore eye and RSV. So we went to Hospital Hansen (our friend is a ER doctor, so we stopped by his house and had him look at Wesley). He told us he thinks he has a small scratch on his eye. They are really painful he told us and he gave Wesley a numbing eye drop and told us to start him on a regiment of Motrin and Tylonol. Then he prescribed some anti-biotics. Tomorrow we will go to an Optimologist and have them take a look (he suggested this). He told us the symptoms of a more serious problem and said that the only way they would know if he had this problems is he he started to show symptoms. So far no symptoms.
So how was your Sunday?

Deals
As everyone already knows, I love a good deal. Right now I am trying to print of the hundreds of digital photos we have taken over the years. The kids would like to be able to sit down and look at them in photo albums. Anyhow, if I find any great deals they will be listed on the side. Right now I have one there from Snapfish.
