Travertine Falls

On Saturday we hiked up to Travertine Falls. We had a bit of a problem finding it because the directions in the book were old. The highway exit had changed and it told us to turn on the first dirt road (without a name) we came to and it was now paved.etc. The book said it was an easy hike for toddlers. Well, lets just say that ended up being the joke of the day!!!! Poor Shelby had a hard time but she hiked all the way up .5 miles. I think I carried her the last .05 miles. It was steep, rocky, and lots of poison ivy.

I hardly recognize Samson without his curls (Wesley, I mean.) And this is really Cheryl, though I am logged on as Scott. Bev and Grandpa told us about this hike. At least you found it! We went hiking once by Alta to find Secret Lake and found out how it got its name -- we never did find it!
