As a parent, I attended my first Cross Country Meet for High School Students this morning. We went to UNM Invitational. To be fair UNM is a university and there were both High School runners and University runners there. However, the majority of the runners were high school students as well as there families there to watch them run. As we walked in the music was blaring, that did not surprise me. I wasn't expecting the music being played to live up to my standards. But I was shocked to hear explicit music was being played. Is that necessary at high school sporting events? Is it normal? Maybe I am old, but I felt that was totally unnecessary. Let me know how you feel about this.
